Silicone School

What is Silicone?

Did you know that a natural element present in sand, quartz, and rock is Silicon? Silicon is the component that makes up Silicone. When Silicon is joined with Oxygen, Hydrogen & Carbon it is converted to Silicone. Some of the amazing benefits found in this inert material are its inability to react with food & beverages. Silicone cannot produce any hazardous fumes and is non-toxic, hypo-allergenic, and is unable to develop bacteria or fungus growth.

Parents vs. BPA

Parents are becoming more aware of toxins found in everyday utensils. A common household term, BPA-free, is becoming part of almost all shopping criteria for parents today. Thankfully, Silicone is here to make this search simple. Silicone does not contain any toxic chemicals like BPA (Bisphenol-A), lead, phthalates or PVC.

Longevity. Durability. These are just some of the adjectives parents long for when investing in children’s products. Thankfully, Silicone has staying power so durable you won’t have to worry about disposal for a long time.
